ITINERARY

Day 1 LIMA PICK UP

Upon arrival reception and transfer to the hotel - overnight (no meals)

Day 2 CUSCO PICK UP - CITY TOUR
You will be picked up at the airport and taken to select hotel, morning at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon 1:00 pm you will be taken on a city tour and visit a local archaeological sites, the Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman and surroundings returning later afternoon 5:30 pm to your hotel around and enjoy the hospitality of the local people (no meals included).

Day 3 SACRED VALLEY
After breakfast at 8:00 am you will be taken through the Inca Sacred Valley where life has remained almost unchanged for 500 years. You will visit the impressive village of Pisac and the Indian market, enjoy the beautiful handicrafts on sale and wonder at the many ethnic tribal costumes worn, not just for tourists, but as part of their heritage by the local people. The tour also include the visit to Ollantaytambo fortress and the Chincheros Market Before returning to your hotel in Cusco late afternoon (around 6:30 pm) (breakfast and lunch included)

Day 4 INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU (4Days 3nights)
Cusco to Km. 82
At six in the morning, we pick up our passengers at their hotels and travel by bus to the Km 82, the start of the Inca Trail. We start our trek escorted by native “Quechua'' porters hike to Llulluchapampa. The first day the trail leads along the Urubamba River, offering you spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and intense flora. camp at Huayllabamba (breakfast at Hotel, lunch and dinner on hike).

Day 5 PACAMAYO
We will begin to climb the first pass, Warmiwañusca (4,200 m. alt.), This second day is more challenging as you climb a 4.200-meter high pass, often covered in mist where there is a spectacular view of the valley below.
This night, we will camp along the river Pacamayo at the bottom of the pass. (breakfast, lunch, dinner  included)


Day 6 WIÑAYHUAYNA
After breakfast, we will hike towards Runku Rakay and traverse the second pass of the same name (3,800 masl). A stone path guides you through a dense cloud forest to Wiña Wayna, passing many Inca ruins on the way final night near the ruins of Wiñayhuayna,(breakfast, lunch, dinner  included)

Day 7 MACHU PICCHU  (See more about Machu Picchu)
We will rise very early so that we may watch the sunrise from Inti Punku “Sun Gate” the fog lifts and you are looking down onto Machu Picchu just as the Incas did centuries before you. The sight is awe inspiring - a sprawling temple bathed in sunlight.
Guided tour follow by some time at leisure, overnight at the hostal in Aguas Calientes (breakfast included)

Day 8 MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Morning at leisure to explore by your own - (entrance and bus fee not included) in the afternoon we will take the train back in Cusco where we will arrive around 8:30 pm (breakfast included)

Day 9 TRANSFER OUT
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport - end of our services

Unless you hire an EXTRA PORTER you need to carry your back pack, sleeping bag and the mattress. You need to indicate this at the time of booking as porters who carry for the full 4 days require permits in advance in the same manner as trekkers.

For the Inca Trail:
Backpack, sleeping bag, warm clothes, flash light, wool socks, sunscreen (sun hat),
woolen hat for night, insect repellent, rain poncho, toiletries /paper, gloves / Scarf,
water purifying tablets, personal medical kit, water bottle, isic student card if applicable.
Extra money you need to take at least 150.00 soles extra emergency money as there are no ATM´s in Aguas Calientes and higher commission on Travelers Checks.
